Renovated Main Floor Offers Opportunities to Engage, Connect, and Build Community at IGS Energy Headquarters

As a company committed to its core values, IGS Energy prioritizes teamwork and strong relationships. While flexible work arrangements are one of IGS Energy’s many perks, their leadership also recognized the importance of in-person interactions. With these considerations in mind, IGS Energy embarked on a master planning process and subsequent renovation that would attract team members to the office, improve their experiences, and foster collaboration and innovation. 

Having partnered with OHM Advisors on the original design constructed in 2010, IGS Energy reached out for help reimagining the first floor of their headquarters. Working closely with IGS Energy’s leadership to understand priorities and incorporate team member feedback, OHM Advisors transformed the first floor from a large, underused space to a vibrant hub of activity and flexibility. 

OHM Advisors designed the new environment to support a range of experiences, while maintaining the abundant natural light established in the original design. A key amenity is a coffee-to-cocktails bar, “Volt + Vine,” which—along with café space providing a variety of seating options—accommodates both workday activities and after-hours events. A speakeasy-inspired door connects the bar area to the training room, which includes movable partitions to enhance flexibility. On the exterior, unique and engaging amenities include a patio and a pickleball court. 

Consistent with IGS Energy’s commitment to social responsibility and the environment, OHM Advisors designed the renovation with sustainability in mind, from material selection to repurposed materials. Details like a new gender-neutral, single-occupancy restroom further enhance the improved experience and flexibility of the floorplan.

The result is a space that attracts and adapts, building community and benefitting IGS Energy well into the future.
