Build-out Provides Engaging Space for Innovations in Health Outcomes
As the innovation engine and product development arm of Cardinal Health, Fuse focuses on creating solutions that contribute to improved health outcomes. To fuel the growth of its 200-person team of software engineers, clinical experts, data scientists, and designers, Fuse relocated to leased space in the vibrant, mixed-use Bridge Park community in Dublin, Ohio. To foster collaboration and creativity among the teams, Fuse engaged OHM Advisors to design an environment for what Fuse leadership called the “moments that matter.”
Through meetings with Fuse’s leadership and department heads, OHM Advisors helped the client shape their vision for the space, which comprised nearly two floors of a six-floor office building. Fuse’s process and culture emphasize experimentation and agility, which made flexibility a high priority.
Workstation pods surround a central table and feature conference technology, enabling efficient transitions between solo work, team huddles, and virtual meetings. From a maker’s space equipped with 3D printers, tools, and work benches to a focused research area, the office supports a spectrum of innovation and development activities.
Fuse’s office also includes a café that can be used for informal meetings, focused work, or entertainment. Movable partitions in a large training room can open to the café or divide into three smaller meeting rooms, depending on the need.
A bright color palette and playful acoustical features create an energetic, start-up-like environment that promotes improved healthcare delivery through collaboration and innovation.
