Ray is a professional land surveyor with more than 17 years of experience. His areas of expertise include construction staking, geodetic control networks, disaster response, 3D scanning, QA/QC, GIS, unmanned aircraft system (UAS) / drone services, and managing large-scale projects. He is a licensed professional surveyor in two states and a FAA Certified UAS Pilot. Ray also serves as Adjunct Faculty at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan.
Serving as a crew chief, field manager, and project surveyor, Ray has gained valuable experience managing large-scale projects in Michigan, Texas, and California. His field duties have included setting of horizontal and vertical control, recovering monumentation, construction layout, managing field data, civil design, and site development. Equally as important, his office duties have included research and planning, coordination of crews, and data processing obtained from conventional, GPS, LiDAR, and UAS surveys. Ray’s current role is to investigate emerging technologies, establish workflows, and implement additional services.
