Patrick Droze Named a 2026 Notable Leader in Architecture, Engineering & Construction
OHM Advisors is proud to announce that Patrick Droze, PE, Principal in the firm’s Municipal Group, has been named a 2026 Notable Leader in Architecture, Engineering & Construction by Crain’s Detroit Business.
The annual recognition highlights leaders who are shaping the built environment through technical expertise, innovation and a deep commitment to the communities they serve.
For Patrick, that impact is most visible in Detroit, where his work is helping communities respond to today’s infrastructure challenges while planning for a more resilient future.
As Program Manager for Detroit’s $20 million Stormwater Infrastructure Program, Patrick leads a multidisciplinary team of nearly 70 professionals across planning, design, funding strategy and construction. Under his leadership, the program has advanced both immediate and long-term solutions to address flooding and sewer system challenges, particularly in neighborhoods most affected by aging infrastructure and extreme weather events.
Patrick has also played a defining role in the growth of OHM Advisors’ Detroit presence. He has helped grow the firm’s local office into a nearly 50-person multidisciplinary team delivering integrated services across engineering, planning, and landscape architecture.
Today, that team supports a wide range of high-impact projects, from neighborhood infrastructure and streetscapes to parks, pathways and innovative stormwater solutions that reimagine vacant land as community assets.
“Patrick brings a rare combination of technical expertise, leadership and long-term vision to his work,” said Rhett Gronevelt, Principal at OHM Advisors. “He understands how to connect complex infrastructure challenges to real community outcomes, and he leads in a way that brings out the best in the people around him. His impact in Detroit, both in the work itself and in the team he’s built, reflects exactly what this recognition is meant to honor.”
Beyond his project work, Patrick remains actively engaged in the profession and the communities he serves. He currently serves on the City of Livonia Planning Commission and has held leadership roles with the American Society of Civil Engineers Southeast Michigan Branch and Transportation Riders United. He also spent nearly a decade volunteering with Preservation Detroit, helping connect people to the city’s architectural history.
