OHM Advisors President Jon Kramer Pens Op-Ed on Infrastructure Funding in Tennessean

In a July 2 opinion editorial for Tennessean, OHM Advisors President Jon Kramer discusses how federal stimulus funds from President Biden’s proposed expansive infrastructure bill could soon equip communities with the capital needed to build the innovative, sustainable and reliable infrastructure of the future. He states that stakes are high, and communities that develop strategic plans now will be poised to fully capitalize on the coming stimulus funding.

Specifically, he suggests that:   

  • Tennessee’s nearly 900 structurally deficient bridges, 276 high-hazard-rated dams, and projected soaring population growth will increase pressure on existing infrastructure and force the region to act decisively
  • Communities that develop 5- to 10-year asset management plans will build resilient infrastructure that addresses near-term demands and anticipates future needs
  • If communities determine how to invest as they spend stimulus funds, Tennesseans will benefit for generations to come
