OHM Advisors honored with additional top accolades for transformative roadway corridor reconstruction project

At its annual Engineering & Surveying Excellence Awards Gala on Saturday, March 19, 2022, the Michigan chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC/M) awarded OHM Advisors its highest honor for outstanding achievement, the “Engineering Eminent Conceptor Award,” for the Brandenburg Park Shoreline Restoration project on Lake St. Clair in Chesterfield Township. It also awarded the firm additional top honors for the Baldwin Road Reconstruction project in Orion Township.

ACEC/M’s Engineering & Surveying Excellence Awards honor firms for projects that demonstrate an exceptional degree of innovation, complexity and value, improving the quality of life for Michigan residents.

We are thrilled to be recognized by ACEC Michigan for the dedicated work of our talented teams of experts on these impactful projects,” said OHM Advisors President Jon Kramer.

At Brandenburg Park, OHM Advisors’ forward-thinking engineering experts designed a shoreline restoration that turned a degraded seawall area into an enhanced natural environment supporting native habitats and providing recreational users enriched educational opportunities and renewed connections to functioning ecosystems.

At Baldwin Road, the firm’s collaborative multidisciplinary team created a design plan addressing an expansive, multimillion-dollar project scope—widening roadways to accommodate significant commuting traffic to and from Interstate 75, improving direct access from the traffic corridor for businesses, accommodating multimodal transportation and enhancing traffic safety.
