Based in the Detroit office, Nina joined OHM Advisors in 2021 to lead and grow the firm’s Michigan-based Planning, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design studio across multiple offices. Over her 15-plus years of experience, she has designed and led comprehensive public sector projects for regional, county and city planning efforts in both Georgia and Michigan with a dedicated emphasis on inclusive community engagement.
A Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP), Nina spent the seven years before joining the firm as the Chief of Planning and Development of the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority (HCMA) where she helped drive the planning, funding and implementation of projects for 13 millage-funded Metroparks comprising nearing 25,000 acres across five Michigan counties. Through her management and leadership roles she has demonstrated not only her expertise in all facets of local and regional planning and development, but a passionate stewardship of the environment and commitment to sustainability for the people living in the communities she has served.
Nina holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and master’s degree in urban planning from Wayne State University, where she is currently a Ph.D student pursuing her doctoral degree in communication and urban sustainability. She also holds a Foundations of Accessibility Certificate from the Eppley Institute for Parks and Public Lands from Indiana University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and multiple professional planning associations.
