Matt is a practice leader for our multi-office transportation team. He has more than 23 years of engineering, transportation planning, and transit experience. Matt’s expertise includes alternatives analysis, feasibility studies, structural design and inspection of rural and urban freeways, arterials and collectors, residential streets, freeway and non-freeway signing, road design, bike path design, wetland mitigation oversight, and a variety of projects with the Corps of Engineers and various local agencies.
Matt led Michigan’s first corridor project which followed FHWA’s Planning and Environmental Linkages process, which also won an ACEC/MDOT Partnership Award for outstanding efforts toward inclusivity and team building. He has also led engineering efforts for large projects such as the Blue Water Bridge Plaza EIS, which is a multifaceted project with high levels of agency, subconsultant, and client coordination and included preliminary design for one of the largest border crossings in the United States.
