Columbus Underground Features Domini-Authored Op-Ed on Preparing for Stimulus Bill Relief in Ohio

In an April 3 opinion editorial for Columbus Underground, OHM Advisors Principal Aaron Domini discusses how Ohio communities can best prepare to use funds from the newly-passed American Rescue Act—a $1.9T coronavirus relief package with $350 billion earmarked for state, local and tribal governments and U.S. territories. Specifically, Domini discusses how Ohio governments might use the state’s $11.2 billion in rescue funds to not just spend, but to invest for the future, in the following ways:   

  • Thinking holistically and long-term, aiming spending at creating sustainable revenue streams
  • Building new infrastructure and catching up on deferred maintenance
  • Investing in equitable housing to create economic stability in the region
