Fredendall Talks Michigan Roads with Westland Mayor, William Wild
On February 26, 2019, OHM Advisors vice president Dan Fredendall sat down with City of Westland mayor, William Wild, to discuss the condition of Michigan’s roads and what’s being done to fix them. In the interview, Fredendall highlights three issues facing Michigan cities—roads and bridges, underground infrastructure and water quality.
A current member of the Michigan Infrastructure Council, Fredendall assures Michiganders that the council’s priority is on long-term infrastructure issues, even as newly-elected Governor Whitmer’s administration focuses on short-term needs. He says that the council's focus is on public-private collaboration, education and prioritization, and notes the importance of “doing things right the first time.”
Fredendall points out that state leaders are working hard on the issues—taking steps to be more innovative, collecting and utilizing data, and making important decisions with that data.
