This national AWWA virtual webinar focuses on discovering funding opportunities across the nation to help close the funding gap for the overwhelming task of providing all people with potable water. Participants will learn about tools, strategies and resources to access funding for source water protection and other drinking water needs. Principal Christine Spitzley will co-present with experts from the Michigan Municipal League Foundation and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. M.T.

Learning objectives include finding and navigating online tools from U.S. EPA (Resilient Strategies Guide and FITS site) and the Michigan Municipal League Foundation (MI Water Navigator Helpdesk site); understanding where to search for additional funding resources; identifying resources for funding events, training opportunities, webinars, toolkits and guides; and applying this knowledge to select the funding opportunities best suited for individual communities.
