Project Spotlight

Marquette, MI Branch Prison energy audit identifies lighting, plumbing, and boiler upgrades that improve energy efficiency and reduce fuel consumptionMarquette Branch Prison – Energy Improvements | Marquette, MI 

The OHM Advisors team provided design services to increase energy efficiency at the Marquette Branch Prison. Upgrades to site lighting included installation of more energy efficient fixtures and components. Inside the facility, fluorescent lamps and ballasts were replaced with more energy
efficient lamps and ballasts. Plumbing improvements included the installation of electronic valve control assemblies complete with controller, valves and piping. Powerhouse upgrades included the removal of one of the three existing boilers and replacement with a smaller boiler. Additional
work included the installation of economizers on the two remaining boilers to improve the process efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.

Tracie Williams, a self-described “problem solver” – that’s exactly who she is. She is the Managing Director of our Hancock office and provides leadership for a wide variety of engineering and architecture projects. With more than 20 years of experience, Tracie has a personal commitment to every project and develops a trusting relationship with the client.

Tracie’s technical expertise is in the field of mechanical engineering and her focus is often on evaluating and upgrading systems to be more energy efficient. She has designed the HVAC and plumbing systems for various building projects including public transit, health care, public housing, municipal and governmental facilities.
