CLEVELAND – May 1, 2017 – Award-winning community advancement firm OHM Advisors is pleased to announce the opening of its newest office on Cleveland’s burgeoning MidTown HealthTech Corridor, one of Northeast Ohio’s premier business and urban districts.
Located on the second floor of the 6555 Carnegie Building in MidTown, this is the firm’s second location to open in Northeast Ohio since merging with Brecksville-based Krock Esser Engineering in 2015.
Matt Hils, a 25-year landscape architect veteran and a principal at OHM Advisors, will be responsible for managing and growing the new office. With more than two decades of high-profile project experience in Cleveland, Hils says he is excited to build a multidisciplinary team focused on the Cleveland market.
“We’re opening this office to help our Northeast Ohio clients advance their communities; the location will help attract the kind of smart, high-caliber talent we need to make that happen,” he says.
With plans to expand planning, landscape architecture, and engineering services relatively quickly, the new space can accommodate 12 full-time team members. The layout is open and modern – designed to be collaborative with 12-foot ceilings, industrial windows and exposed columns. Brecksville team members Jon Lorincz, Scott Bickley, and Jeremy Hinte, with 60 years of combined engineering, site design and landscape architecture experience, will join Hils’ team as full-time staff.
According to Hinte, Senior Landscape Architect and the newest member of the Cleveland team, opportunity factored into his decision to join the firm in early 2017. “There’s tons of potential for us to grow and build a full-service team right here,” he says.
As the partner who led the merger with Krock Esser two years ago, Ohio Managing Partner Jim Houk calls the opening of this office a milestone, adding that Krock and Esser deserve much of the credit for early success.
“We always envisioned a Cleveland office, but being in a position to open this office right now with someone with Matt’s experience leading the charge is really exciting,” he says.
This is OHM Advisors’ 12th office nationwide.
