Placemaking for Pets

OHMer, firm principal and Planning expert Aaron Domini will lead a Petcha Kutcha-style presentation where you’ll learn about planning for our four-legged friends: “Placemaking and Integrating Pets into Public Spaces“.

Planners have the opportunity to create plans that fully integrate pet-owning families in a way that strengthens our local economy. This session will examine creative ways to plan for and integrate pets into public spaces, using targeted placemaking for pets as an economic development tool to accelerate urban and suburban growth. Aaron will also explore what makes a community pet friendly, how pet friendly places positively impact property values, and how placemaking for pets can contribute to and define a community’s brand.
