The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) GIS Users Group meets quarterly to share information about geospatial data, new technologies, applications and analysis.

The purpose of the Southeast Michigan GIS User Group is to highlight and support GIS initiatives, foster regional collaboration, and identify and encourage data sharing opportunities. SEMCOG works with a variety of organizations to develop and/or acquire data for applications that can be utilized statewide.

OHMers Mike Cousins, GIS Manager, and Patrick Gross, GIS Specialist, will share their expertise on GISP Certification. They will present the process of obtaining the certification, including the new exam.

Their interactive discussion will also review the process of recertification for those who have already obtained their GISP certification.
