OHM Advisors is pleased to announce its annual employee of the year recipient

OHM Advisors is pleased to announce that, among 400+ dedicated associates, Kyle Curie, an engineer in the water resources group, was selected as the firm’s 2016 Outstanding Employee of the Year.

Kyle is regarded as an innovative and supportive emerging leader who is dedicated to creating a holistic learning environment that supports colleagues across the firm, mentoring and patiently imparting his wisdom—specifically in the areas of asset management and Stormwater Asset Management and Wastewater (SAW) grants, which require detailed supporting information and rigorous adherence to guidelines.

Described as “a force in shaping the firm's asset management expertise and setting OHM Advisors apart,” Curie has led efforts to develop the SAW grant program at the firm so that clients have access to the necessary reams of data in support of their grant applications. He has also worked in collaboration with a team of environmental engineering colleagues in promoting the innovative data analysis techniques developed at OHM Advisors to local, regional, and national industry conferences.

Each year, one outstanding employee with more than two years of service is chosen through a firm-wide nomination process who consistently demonstrates outstanding service in the categories of job performance, attitude, commitment, and contributions to the community. Curie has an exemplary history of tirelessly going above and beyond for his clients. In addition to recognition, winners receive additional vacation time and a monetary prize.

Senior project manager, firm principal and Curie's supervisor, Greg Kacvinsky remarked, “Kyle has transformed the way teams across the firm now work together and share knowledge. He has helped position OHM Advisors as a leader in asset management, and is a true embodiment of our Advancing Communities mission. It is upon the foundation that he has set that allows us to be successful – which translates to our clients' success.”

Curie's career at OHM Advisors began in 2014, when he embarked on a move to Michigan after spending several years as an environmental engineer in Illinois. He received his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2011.
