OHM Advisors is pleased to announce that Mark Bloom, director of information technology, is the firm’s 2014 Outstanding Employee of the Year.
Bloom was selected through a firm-wide nomination process for his responsive work style and deployment of innovative technologies to increase efficiencies within the rapidly growing organization.
The reward recognizes OHM Advisors employees who demonstrate outstanding service or make outstanding contributions to the firm and the communities it serves. Winners receive extra vacation time, other prizes and recognition.
OHM Advisors’ Vice President of Corporate Services, Dan Fredendall says, “Mark finds a solution to any issue we’re facing. A big part of his role is to position us for growth and industry leadership, and he’s always there with ideas to keep us responsive to our clients and ahead of the game.”
Bloom’s recent implementation of global cloud-based file storage solution, known as Panzura, has improved cross-site project file collaboration and disaster recovery among the firm’s nine offices, while reducing operating expenses. Among his many other contributions, he also successfully negotiated the purchase of a cost-effective video conferencing solution which has improved the multi-office experience for staff and clients alike.
Bloom started at OHM Advisors in 2001, advancing to his current position as director. He now manages a team of application developers and network support professionals that support the firm.
Bloom received his B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University in 2006.
